I thought I got over it, but obviously I haven't. It just lying there dormant in my sub conscious mind and right trigger factor will make you go with longing until all you can think off is SIMS 2. Its like epilepsy. You cannot control it.
I was happily surfing my net doing my own research project when my sister in the bedroom buzz me and told she miss SIMS. What on earth her thesis, got to do with SIMS I have no idea but it trigger a load full of SIMS memories. You had no idea how real this game can go and we have learn a lot of things just from playing it. Now they have SIM 2 and going to have SIM 3 too.
From SIMS learn many many things such as...
1. A family of 4 adult is the most ideal.
The max number of household members + pets are 8. If you are too ambitious and create 8 people at 1 go, they will all end up fighting for the toilet in the morning. And some will probably end up late to work. Sound real rite?
2. No matter how broke you are get an alarm
You think you want to cut corners with 4 mouths to feed? Think again. There is a thief in the neighbourhood and it will come and steal you blind. We learn this the hard way when one of the family's flat screen TV got stolen for 4 times. No joke.
3. Leave enough money to buy a phone
When u cut corners on item 2, u cut corner on item 3. Trust me, YOU HAD TO HAVE A PHONE. One of the SIMS family member burnt to death because the husband have no phone to call for fire brigade. The last I know before my PC was reformat, she left behind a depressed husband and 2 surly kids. BUT my friend actually burn down the entire neighbourhood because she don't have a phone to call for help. Ha ha ha...~
4. The easiest way to hook up with a chick is candle light dinner
I got this political figure that really needs a lot of friends to move up the career ladder. Every evening after work, I will dress him up in his best tuxedo, buy a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates and bring a chick to candle light dinner. At the end of the dinner, she will fall in love with him. The best thing is he get to it every night! Cool yeah
5. Do NOT call for Party if you have been two timing
The thing about party is that its fun and great for socializing BUT if you organize a party, everyone you know will turn up including your girlfriends! No points for guessing what happen to political figure in No.5. I think we change his career to a less hazardous one, a policeman.
